The reading of the Bible, and prayer before, and after meals,
was once as common, as watching television during a meal is today.
Cardboard boxes with paper cups;
Tables set in clean and even rows.
Meaningless music, spinning fans
Hides the drone of meaningless noise.
The hamburgers taste consistently the same,
And all are bowed reverently, over their
Double Jump Sweepstakes game.
Give thanks to King Burger for the food we eat,
Give tips to the ones who keep it all neat.
Give all honour to our American Express Cards,
Give homage all, to these human scrap yards.
But who owns the brains, behind this human mouse race?
Where only an alien would ever say grace?
